About Robin. About coaching. How it works.

I'm not going to try to tell you I'm the best life coach in the business. I'm not going to tell you I have the most training or the best approach for everyone out there. I'm good, and for some people, my approach will be the best...but the truth is that it's not so much about me, and how I show up. It's really about how you can show up for yourself in this coaching relationship, and in your life.

I am an intuitive, visionary coach, who believes in the best you can dream for yourself, and who will call you forth to meet that future - to better than what you can see for yourself. I have a willingness to see sideways, an ability to find another solution. I listen deeply - to what is being

said and what is not being said - and I hear a deep desire for a satisfying life. I'm funny and eccentric, driven and determined, gentle and tough, and I ask the hard questions that most people are too polite to ask.

I've been a special education teacher for the Chicago Public Schools, I've taught GED skills to teen mothers with mental illnesses, worked with seniors, battered women, autistic adults, and done intake and assessment with an Employee Assistance Program. I've temped, hated jobs, gotten fired, changed course midstream, and had great (and awful) experiences along the way. My experience has taught me about the infinite variety of people's problems, and the incredible changes that can be brought about by being unwilling to accept that a problem is the final answer.

I've always been a tilt-at-windmills type, a Don Quixote type - an activist. From being a fourth grader testifying in front of the Philadelphia Public Schools to keep gifted children's funding in place, to college activism and working for women's health rights (I took a bomb threat on my eighteenth birthday, working in a clinic), to starting an earth-based spiritual community in the Chicago area that now includes over 150 people: I have always put my energy and intuition into things I believe in, and made them happen. A friend sometimes says that she never wants to get between me and something that I believe needs to happen.

All of this energy and experience can be working with you, in service to your goals and your agenda, your desires and your joys, helping you create a life that is a perfect ten on your satisfaction-o-meter.
